Email Problems

February 24, 2009

It looks like we’re having some problems sending emails. The relevant authorities have been notified and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Sorry

–Update–

It looks like the problem is when a message is sent automaticly from the server to a BT Yahoo email address, whereby the message is delayed by the Yahoo servers forcing the Flashback servers to keep resending the message until it is eventually received. I hope to have this fixed very soon

–Update 2–

Looks like the problem is fixed now, I’ll keep an eye on it though..

Screen shots

November 2, 2008

You may have noticed that we have lost most of the screen shots on the help section, this is due to a technical problem on an external server that hosts them. I am in the process of fixing this – sorry.

–Update–

I think I have managed to fix all broken screen shots. However if you see one that still isn’t working feel free to let me know.

New Mirror System

November 2, 2008

As from today I am testing a new way of downloading the Flashback installer. Instead of having a download link and a mirror link the site will now use a script to pick the best download link automatically. In case this proves a problem I will run a legacy download too for the fist couple of weeks.

The maintenance included a vast number of updates to nearly every section of the website and aims to improve usability of Flashback, as well a number of new features. Hope you enjoy it

1.0.28 Now Available for Download

July 20, 2008

Its been a little while since 1.0.27 was made, but a number of changes have been made to improve the system, including:

  • Improvements to the sign up process of new drives – namely starting the program improperly before the drive is registered will now bring up the registration screen rather than crashing.
  • The ability to update the database if the drive is no longer recognised, therefore negating the need to delete the drive and re register it
  • A new user interface that matches the general theme of the website.
  • Improvements to the always on top functionality
